The department held a public lecture on 20th February . The lecture was ' on election dilemna in Africa" . The occasion was sponsored by the African Association of public administration and management. Earlier the Department signed a MOU with AAPAP in the VC's office . Present was the AAPAM secretary General Dr George Scott.
The lecture was delivered by Mr Felix Odhiambo . In attendance were Prof John Okumu the DVC academic and who represented the VC, Dean SHSS Dr Wafula, Prof David Minja, Chair of the department, Members of Staff and students

Professor Andrius Valickas, and Dr Rasa Pilkauskaite Valickiene Visit
Professor Andrius Valickas, and Dr Rasa Pilkauskaite Valickiene from the Mykolas Romeris university, Lithuania visited the department on 4th July 2019 to discuss a collaboration framework with the department. During the meeting with the PPA faculty, the Lithuanian scholars invited the department to suggest various pistes for collaboration with Mykolas Romeris University, mostly on faculty-student exchange between KU and their university. Members of PPA department wanted to know if it would be possible to have lecturers from Mykolas Romeris University visit the department as visiting scholars. Prof Valickas said this would be possible if funds would be available.
Withing the framework of collaboration with the Lithuanian University, Mr Cornelius Ombagi, a PPA Phd student will stay at Romeris University for three months beginning September, 2019.

The department will host Dr Viktor Marsai of National University of Public Service ( NUPS-Hungary) betwee 28-31 January. The Scholar will give lectures to students on various topics, including energy in global settings and corporate responsibility.
