Dr. Forah Obebo

Dr Forah Mokua Obebo is Lecturer of Economics at the Department of Applied Economics, Kenyatta University. He holds a PhD in Economics from Kenyatta University and a Master of Science Degree in Financial Economics from the prestigious Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom. Besides university teaching, Dr Obebo has spearheaded efforts to promote business growth and capacity building for SMEs especially in the agricultural sector in Kenya. He has experience in conducting impact evaluations, policy analysis, economic modelling, socio-economic studies, value chain analysis and business planning. He has been involved in a number of projects by World Vision Kenya, UN`s Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, Africa Economic Research Consortium (AERC), KEWASNET, BMGF, Kenya Roads Board, CISP and County Governments among others. His interests are in Project Planning and Policy Design, Economic Modelling, Monitoring and Evaluation, Economics of SMEs and Food and Nutritional Security and Health Economics. Previously, Dr Obebo worked as a Customer Service Manager for the Royal Bank of Scotland in the United Kingdom. Being passionate growth of businesses, Dr Obebo was in 2018 appointed as a panel judge for the Ernest & Young (EY) Entrepreneur of the Year Award. In 2019, he was appointed as a Mentor for the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD).
